unpopular opinion but when it comes to the enemies-to-lovers trope, the tension only works when the hatred goes both ways. if he's already half in love with her on page one and she's the only one with genuine animosity, you've just written a slow burn with one participant. that's fine! but let's not call it what it isn't.
