          	Entries will no longer be accepted, as we have passed the deadline.
          	Judging has begun, so good luck to everyone!
          	Remember to be kind and polite to other participants of the contest.
          	Results will come out soon, so make sure to add the 'Hazel Book Awards' to your reading list so you will get notified when they do.
          	The stickers for the winners have already been designed and they all look great!

So how is the hazel contest judged? Is it by voting or do you specifically pick who you want to win? And I don’t mean this to be disrespectful or mean, I’m genuinely asking, what makes you qualified to pick the best story beside it being your contest?

Hi!
            We have a team of judges who pick the winners of each genre. The judges are writers themselves and are experienced in judging. Judges will agree as a group who first, second, and third place goes to, by judging a range of things: story line, grammar, description, development of story & characters etc.
