The short story Snake Dance by Corey Ford was a interesting story to read. I understand why Jerry lied to his mother because he didn't want her to think he wasn't doing anything in college. There was a lot of foreshadowing in the story like how he was on the phone with his mother and said hear that mom the crowd is calling for him. Yea they were because he was a milk shake guy and that's what they wanted. I feel it's okay to lie sometimes to the person if you don't want to hurt them , but you also have to have a back up to the outcome of it. I been through this situation once and it was really hard to cover it all up so I just came out with the truth.  Jerry seemed smart and caring to his mother and especially about what's going on with his father. I enjoyed reading this story and did any body else?

I feel the boy had a good relationship with his grandad and the lady his dad is going to marry sound like she was jealous of how the blanket was made and looked as if the father shouldn't have spent money on something like that for his father it should be her. I wanna know where did she go after she got upset and are they still getting married. He shouldn't marry someone who has a problem with what he's buying for his father she should be supportive also.
