I’m on threads! Fair warning though—I definitely get political over there!

To the people who think those of us writing violent novels or listening to rap music are automatically criminals or violent people—your inability differentiate between fictional stories/music and actual intent to commit crimes/criminal conspiracies is not our problem. It’s your problem. Quit trying to make it our problem, you delusional fools!

I don't normally get political, as I worry it might alienate potential audiences to the fiction I write, and due to the fact that I am trying to grow that fiction. But I have decided to make public my position on one politician regardless. Ron Desantis, while underpaying and threatening teachers, has legally mandated that Florida schools teach students that enslaved blacks "Benefited" from slavery. NEWSFLASH: THAT IS A RACIST LIE ON HIS PART, AND I DON'T NEED TO BE THE TARGETED MINORITY TO FIGURE THAT OUT! You're only truly "for democracy" if you enshrine equality for all, without racial hatred. If you only oppose racism from your opponents and support racist politicians because they are the same party as you, then you are not pro-democracy: you're pro-racism. My fellow Americans who, like myself, are proud Americans from southern states, often wonder why the South still has a reputation for racism. Bigoted scum like Florida Governor and Presidential candidate Desantis, alongside others like him, are the reasons why. We must call out all of those who would distort history and weaponize politics along such bigoted lines, would divide our nations with their greed and hatred--regardless of whether they are from our own party or the opposing party. And regardless of what party the racist candidate is from, we must always hold them to account for their bigotry.

          Book description:

The year is 2035. It has been roughly two years since the Advent Virus infected every human on Earth. Most are asymptomatic carriers—they display no symptoms and are unhurt by the virus. Variants, on the other hand, are genetically enhanced by the virus and given almost supernatural abilities, previously considered to be only possible in comic books or cartoons. Meanwhile, a large minority of the world's population is ruthlessly killed by the virus, falling into comas and passing away.
Alex Westsmith was abused as a child, alongside his younger brother, and his mother, at the hands of his father. The legal system failed Alex and his family, over and over, again and again. So, the teenager, armed with his Variant abilities, does what he must, scouring the city by night, hunting and killing those who abuse others. As the vigilante Pyre, alongside his best friend and computer hacker, Richard Caperno—who operates under the alias Reforger—Alex fights for those who would otherwise fall through the cracks of society.
But when a ruthless new faction of radicals and terrorists abducts one of their classmates, will the Variant vigilante and his hacker ally be able to save her? Or will he have to helplessly watch abuse go unpunished yet again?
