          we're always looking, no, chasing after utopia. a place where everything favours us, where the ten suns in the sky shine bright enough to blind us and where the trees grow taller. where heartbreak is a distant memory and despair is a foolish folktale. where losing isn't a sensation we're accustomed to and gaining is the only word in our dictionary. a place that was born from needs, wants and fantasies. 
          
          a place that doesn't exist since its very creation is a pun.
          
           a cruel hope fed to those that are so thickly laced with venom and hurt that they're willing to believe anything. a place that was meant to keep us running ahead but was the same reason that cause so many to give up. 
          
          but i'll tell you of a special place. a place where the sun doesn't shine as bright as we need it to and where once clear skies cloud with fear and doubt. a place where the grass that seemed greener gets trampled under the weights that society places on us. a place where the tranquil meadows fade and the once colourful fields of greens and blues turn muted and cold. a place where we seem to lose what we need and gain the unwanted. a place where a lingering shadow is what we see more than anything and there seems to be a thousand different words for 'sad'. a place where it seems like we only feel hurt. 
          
          but that's okay since with the clouds come rain to wash the pain away and the sun always seems to shine brighter after a storm. a place where the grass grows back stronger and taller. a place that shows us the good and the bad, the dark and the light. a place where there are nearly a thousand words for 'sad' but a thousand and one for 'happy'. a place that has hurt, pain, and despair but only shows us that everything comes back stronger and so much more beautiful. a place that's better .. 
          
          not quite like today
          or yesterday. 
          
          a place like tomorrow.
