I've now finished writing all the epilogues for Bring the Dawn, making the Nightstar trilogy officially entirely complete. I gave myself a deadline for this year, and I made it, even though narrowly. I'm so happy it finally has all the content I wanted to add, even if not edited yet, so I can mark it as finished at last.
I'll probably eventually end up writing another series in the same world, but that's for the far future. I'll take a bit of a break and then decide what to work on next, just to avoid burning out because this series threatened to do it many times, even if I'm really happy I did write it overall.

Pepiryn concern about usefulness and skills is relatable. Do you plan his growth and confidence arc in advance or let it emerge naturally as the story progresses?

After almost exactly 3 years of work, I finally finished my fantasy trilogy Nightstar. I'll still be adding epilogues to the last book, Bring the Dawn, but the story itself is over, so I'm gonna celebrate it now.
This series took a lot out of me, and at points I was starting to doubt that it would ever end. The final book is currently sitting at 161K words, which is by far the longest book I've ever written. The series will have a total word count of over 400K, which is also the longest series I've ever written.
Nightstar has been such a constant part of my life for so long that it being over honestly doesn't even feel real yet. But all the toiling and effort were definitely worth it. I think this series is my best work yet, largely thanks to the constant support from my fiance, both emotionally and in terms of writing. I'm sure I'll find things to improve and fix when I get around to editing, but overall I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Once those epilogues are done, I'll be left without a big project to work on, which will be really weird, but I have plenty of things on the backburner to pick up. Maybe I'll be finally able to get back to finishing the Curse of Magic and Wings of Gold series, just about a year off from what I thought was a reasonable estimate of getting to work on them. I'm really bad at predicting these things.

@dragonthusiast Congratulations on finishing it! From what I understand it’s a very bittersweet moment. Happy it’s finished, sad because it’s completed. Leaving the characters behind is like leaving family behind. Nope, I’m not a writer at all but I understand all too well due to working with a writer here on Wattpad in bringing her characters to life with photos, graphics, sketches and her words about them. I know all the characters and through it all, I learned what writers feel about their characters. Though I was somewhat privileged to tiny tidbits of information about them from her that most don’t know, I don’t think it would have mattered actually, I love all of them. If you are interested in reading the whole series which now consist of 10 books, one book is a guide that gives all kinds of information for the world and characters, three books for the first series called Wanderlust, Wayfarer and Waterborne is where you should begin. Then move to the next part which is the Greatest Thief series and there are two books that are like a branch off within that series. All are written by @juliecotewriter who has built a world that encompasses all the books, families, friendships, love and adventure! I’ll be honest, the best thing I did was contact her about a certain tattoo in the book Wanderlust never realizing that from there, her characters would be a passion project for me to work on and give her faces of her beloved characters. It’s been a challenge at times but it’s been the most rewarding project I’ve ever done. The whole series can be found in my reading list named The World of Zianna and the books are listed in reading order starting with Wanderlust. Should you read them, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

@ TheNanoWatt thank you! Received and replied :) Very excited.
(PS: forgot to ask in my email response but I'm super curious how the audiobooks were chosen :0 cause beyond being indie I don't really see a pattern connecting them, so I'm just wondering if there's some backstory there :D)

Break the Day, Penned Sea Hearts, and Nightfall got chosen as winners in their respective genre categories in the Nano Watt awards, making me the Winner Extraordinaire, which is so exciting and unexpected. Truly made my day. Thank you so much @TheNanoWatt and congrats to everyone else!

Hi, I just finished the Wings of Gold series. The Thief's Dragon was a Wattpad pick and I really loved it. According to the reading list, it's 6 books, of which 2 have been published. Is there any future updates for the rest?
dragonthusiast
@ loveislove69m Hi, thank you for reading :) I am currently focused on finally finishing the last book in the Nightstar trilogy, and then I'm very likely going to start writing the next book for Wings of Gold. So yes, I will write the remaining 4, I just need to focus on Nightstar or I'm never going to get it done I'm thinking either this month or next is when it will get done?
