go on, trip some more. the first time was funny.
❝THE NORTH WELCOMES YOU.., YOUR GRACE.❞
@draqariys [THE SMILE SHE HAS FALTERS. it wasn’t held long, at her side LORD MASSEY WAS BEAMING. as if he had witness ARCHANGEL MICHAEL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN. leanna didn’t see the comparison. nor did she want to be here either, she would’ve been more content to let lord massey greet the western king himself, and bomb him with many blessings and wishes for his good health. still, they needed his army. and his dragons. and as much as she didn’t want to, the queen of the north was forced to put her jealousy aside and be formal. therefore, the smile is retrieved]. i do hope your journey went smoothly, it is rather hard to grow accustomed to varying environments in such short time. i’d imagine you miss the western warmth already
@truerheir and i appreciate the north’s.. hospitality, especially during a time so grim.
i did not ask for a lecture.
@draqariys [ a slight eye roll followed by a huff is his only response. he turns his face fully to the fire then, and his face is illuminated with red and black, a great contrast to his sister, who seemed to glow beneath the sun’s shiny embrace
i’ve never seen tyraxes this energetic before
@draqariys [ she lifts her head to the two dragon lovers above them, admiring the delicate flaps of red and black wings. after a while, she shifts her gaze to him, and reaches out to squeeze his hand] .. your queen missed you as well
@truerheir he’s grown restless upon dormancy.. yet he sure does enjoy his time, reconciling with his queen.. although he is much like his rider in that way.
@draqariys war and violence is in his nature. yet, it pleases me to see him in the air again with meleys ..
your sons are fighting again
@truerheir well, /your/ son’s dragon bit the other one.. and now his hand is being stitched up the mesyrs. i told vaemerys you would speak with jace.. for you’re far more likely to get a substantial answer from him
he’s a liar! vhagar didn’t bite him!
@stoicub that’s how it goes, typically. do you think aegon and jaenys just became friends overnight after years of brotherly torment? it takes time, i’m afraid. it doesn’t matter what tyraxes would do, because this isn’t about me. i’ll.. have your mother speak with him, and come back to me on his side of everything, and we’ll meet a middle ground to hopefully ease — whatever tension this is
@draqariys i don’t want it to pass /eventually/. vhagar was only defending her rider, /me/ — tyraxes would’ve done the same, wouldn’t he?…
nothing’s wrong with the sword, i just prefer the bow
@draqariys [he holds it until he could not anymore, placing the blade down with care. it was black, all over. the darkest steel found in the mountain great face.. it was the same steel that built the fortress of house blackmont. after a minute of inspecting the blade, all its designs — the thought of the many heads it has cut.. he thinks of his father, his grandfafner and all that had wielded it before him. he thinks of their accomplishments.. jaenys shakes his head, stepping back ] i don’t want it.
@draqeir your brother has daybreaker, and when my time comes to pass on.. blacktooth will be yours, much like it was passed down to me from my father —and his before him. [the king rarely mentioned his father, for even all these years later it was still a sensitive topic to him. his shoulders tensed at the mere melancholy rushing over him, and also a sense of deja vu from his own doubts as an adolescence with his father] your brother is a better swordsmen because he’s had practice, in this courtyard and at war.. and one day you most likely will to, but it takes time and patience to master the craft.. especially when wielding blacktooth. i couldn’t properly wield it until my seven and tenth nameday
@draqariys [there’s a tension working in his jaw, he’s deep in thought. even now that he was twenty, and had grown to look more like his father’s father.. he still had much to learn. besides, his father wasn’t lying. the last so called unseen enemy was lysander fayte himself. a man he would always hate, though he has never met. black tooth resides in his hand, and with caution, he lifted his grandfather’s sword ] it’ll look better in aegon’s hands. he is the better swordsman. — second to you, of course
drink this, it will ease the pain.
@draqariys no, i do not. [ she says no more and puts the cup to his lips, forcing him to take a sip. a scoff rolls of the tongue, shaking her head] why would the giants care of your outcome? they don’t know you.
@drakonysus brink of death is a bit dramatic, don’t you think? how exactly have his and her majesty responded to such a .. grisly attack, as you so put it
@draqariys the knights had found you on the brink of death and only now have you regained consciousness. be foolish on your on time, not mine. drink.
i did warn that the blade was heavy
@draqeir [ in a sense, he felt more relieved. he had advanced his grandfather when it came to his size and his father in regards to willingly mounting a dragon ..hell, aemond had successfully mounted tyraxes by his eighth nameday, granted his mother gave him an earful because of it ..it was still an early feat for the young martell especially in his youth, ] you? frightened? i would have never expected that of you [ it was a snide dig at the elder man, a smug smirk now canvasing the very features he shared with his father. it only faded it something more stoic when he was given one of the many words of encouragement and reassurance, nodding slightly as his hands remained by his sides, fingers fidgeting with the ripped hem of cloth along his shirt, ] i suppose you are right ..but i would love for it to come sooner or later. i’m the heir —- future king when my rightful time comes ..it would be easier to not be a laughingstock if i was stronger and taken seriously. perhaps the elders of our council are too dull witted to even imagine a young and audacious prince having something to say that is truly worth listening to
@draqariys do you think we were just born this way? [ it’s asked with amusement, and though it is sad, there is a smile that paints itself on his visage, reminiscing on his father wasn’t something he did often. for whenever he did, raenor would seem to cry, he thanked God that he was strong enough to not do so in front of his son.. his firstborn ] .. your grandfather was smaller than the other boys in the north. and i was too frightened to ride a dragon until i was ten [ he shrugs, and lowers the sword, letting the handle fall limp in his hand ] cutting a man’s eye does that to you, i suppose.. [ then, he inhales, and moves to rest his hand on the side of his face, lifting his brows . aemond would never know how proud of him raenor was, even for the little things. ] the point is.. you are young, and have many years ahead of you. strength and respect do not come to you in a day.. it takes time
@draqeir [ it hadn’t been the first time that the young heir had been compared to his own grandfather, a man he hadn’t seen ever since he was a boy no older than jaecerys himself. even then, he still carries so much reverence with his name. he bowed his head slightly once he noticed the subtle stiffness from his own father at the mention of his own, feeling a slight sense of melancholy, ] how so? i’m far from as —- strong and respected as him .. and you as well
i fear i’ve done something i’m going to regret
@draqariys there is.. (was) a bloodline that is meant to be extinct. the archmesyrs will gut me for it yet God has no bounds and therefore.. [ she clasps her hands together. swallowing hard, on cue the sounds of clashing and arguing was heard beyond the closed doors to which the mesyr squeezed her eyes shut ] house bludwynge— (most) of them.. three, for the time being is.. here. in the flesh
