One year ago yesterday, in fact, I wrote my first chapter of my first novel right here on Wattpad. Little did I know it would change my life. I'm weeks away from publishing my first novel for mainstream on Amazon, if all goes to plan. It's a new updated version of Unexpected Love. More on that when I have the publication date. But today I'm celebrating. Honestly, I had forgotten what day I first published here until I read a comment that lead me to the date. I'm so grateful for each of you that have read my stories. You've helped me move past the pain of widowhood and find a new career path. Well, that's my dream anyway. We shall see if I can make that happen successfully. On this date one year ago, I woke up and had 8 readers and was over the moon. One year later, my stories have gained over 125,000 readers, a Watty Award nomination and a new plan for my life. I'm incredibly grateful for the love!

Today is a big day, readers. I have officially turned in the final version of Unexpected Love to my editor! Wow has it been a long journey. But this means one last round of edits, cover art development then navigating the world of Amazon self publishing, which so far has not been too difficult. 
          
          I am so very exited about getting close to sending it out to the world and begin my life as a full fledged writer as a career. What a dream come true.
          
          I'll reiterate this with the official announcement that it's ready for purchase but I needed to say this to you, my first readers. Fanfiction is safe from copyright laws (for the most part) on platforms like Wattpad but once you write a story for mainstream, you're not allowed to use names and references from EK that could get a writer in trouble.
          
          BUT, having read my original one here, you and I will always hold this story as Can and Sanem's even if the names need to be different. I have added scenes that I know you'll love, changed so much of the ending for more romance that if you decided to purchase it once it's published on Amazon, you'll feel like you're getting a new version of a favorite story. 
          
          I'll have more info soon but I'm hoping you will support me in this new journey as you have here! It's because of you that I've even taken this chance at a dream. Much love and keep dreaming!
