Okay, I'm gonna be real with y'all for a second. I'm probably going to be inconsistent with updates on the story since I'm pretty swamped with things this week. I have a bunch of rehearsals out and after school for my school's spring concert, on top of that, lots of state and final exams. So, excuse me if there are slow updates or mistakes with newer chapters along the way. Just felt I should let you guys know.

REVISION IS OUT NOW! The Princess is back, y'all!  Chapters for the most part have been combined, though the last chapter is one newly written. Also wanted to give you a heads up that the last chapter deals with some heavy topics. There's also a trigger warning included in case anyone is sensitive to the content. Been working on this since earlier March, so I hope you enjoy!

THE REVISION IS CURRENTLY UNDER PROGRESS! If you're wondering why the Princess of R&B isn't showing up on my page, it's cause the story is unpublished until I finish editing all the chapters. It should be a pretty short time frame, though.

Another update on the story, unfortunately might have to take a mental health break as my grandmother passed away early yesterday morning. Though I will try my best to finish rewriting these chapters and have it out around the end of this month or early April.

Might be a delay in updating the story. My mom and I recently got into a car accident! We're okay!! No major injuries, just a little shaken up.

Also, the story will switch between third and first person at times. To clarify the important scenes where Laila is absent.

@CjWilliams0022 YOU READ MY STORY!!! You legit don't realize how much motivation that just gave me. I've been thinking it over, and cancelling might not have been the best decision. I just had a lot on my plate. So... THE SHOW'S BACK ON! I've been working on a new revised version of the story since the one I have posted could use some work. Princess of R&B was somewhat of a me experimenting with what I could do when I was a new writer. Since then, I've been working on my technique, and I'm proud of how things are now! In this new version, the chapters will now have names and be longer than before. The story will also cover some heavy topics, and I will make sure to include a trigger warning at the beginning. The story might also eventually be posted on my AO3 page, so I'll send a link when it's out!

Hey everyone! I've decided to discontinue Princess of R&B as I've lost my genuine passion for writing it. I'll be focusing on newer stories that I'm more immersed in. Thank you for all your support and understanding.
