Stolen away on the night her parents died, hotheaded and naive, Mary grew up as the problem child of an incompetent Muggle couple. She knows she is different, that much is evident from people’s reactions to the things she can do. But when Mary is thrown into a world where magic is real, she will soon discover that being haunted by the ghosts of her parents and being driven up the wall by a man who claims to be her mother's friend is the least of her concerns.
Something lurks in the dark recesses of her mind. Something that has been trapped in the shadows for far too long. Something evil that wants to break out.
