            yeah,   well.   i've  never  been  the  lucky  one.    {  with  a  scoff  that  serves  as  more  self-deprecation  than  true  humor  gale  shakes  her  head,   doing  her  best  to  subdue  the  ache  that  comes  with  her  niece's  distress.  }    hopefully  this  is  gonna  be  the  last  time.    only  so  many  freaks  can  try  and  fail,   you  know.

            their  job  doesn't  include  grabbing  you,   or  stalking  you  down  in  film  theory,   or  whatever  the  fuck  they're  doing  now.    {  her  gaze  flickers  from  her  niece  to  the  closed  doors  behind  her,   glaring  as  though  she  can  burn  holes  through  the  door  and  into  the  heads  of  the  reporters  outside.  }   right.   well,   i  do,   and  i  haven't  done  it  in  far  too  long.

            i  mean,  they’re  just  doing  their  job.  (  and  it’s  exhaustive.  she  pulls  the  sunglasses  off  her  face  and  the  hood  from  her  head,  shaking  out  her  wild  curls.  )  i  don’t  wanna  ruin  anyone’s  career.  :/

            she  (is)  my  daughter.    {  for  a  moment  gale  isn't  speaking  to  ellie-marie's  best  friend,   isn't  speaking  to  her  niece  or  even  a  child.    it  feels  like  a  direct  attack,   and  it  cuts  more  than  she's  willing  to  admit.   }    and  i  love  her  more  than  anything,   but  it  isn't  as  simple  as  just  blowing  off  what  i  was  part  of.

            even  worse  than  that  leon  movie?  (  she  snorts,  wrinkling  her  eyebrows.  )  i  can’t  believe  she  said  yes  to  that,  first  of  all.  second  of  all,  awful  casting.

            i  dunno  if  it’ll  fit  me.  (  she  holds  up  the  uniform  with  furrowed  brows,  crinkling  her  nose.  )  the  uniforms  barely  even  look  like  this  anymore!  they  used  to  be  so  cool!

            uhm,  duh.  i  love  this  kinda  stuff.  :D  (  by  “stuff”,  she  means  being  her  aunts  little  shadow.  she  leans  forward,  waiting  for  the  ultra-important  task  of  aiding  her  next  designs.  )  what  is  it?  is  it  something  totally  top  secret?  are  you  making  a  dress  for  taylor  swift?

            you  have  never  been  cool.  (  it’s  a  half  truth.  she  was  weary  about  introducing  angel,  and  this  just  makes  it  more  confusing.  )  ellie  already  background  searched  him,  gave  him the  whole  “i’ll  chop  off  your  dick  and  feed  it  to  you”  speech.  isn’t  that  enough  humiliation  for  one  poor  guy?  :/
