I have two historian parents, so it was inevitable that I developed an interest in the past. I went on to get more than enough education (in anthropology) and began writing fiction when the stories in my head overflowed and demanded that I let them out. While my ancestry is Welsh, I visited Wales for the first time while in college. I've been in love with the country, language, and people ever since. I even convinced my husband to give all four of our children Welsh names.

As an 'indie' author, I have sold over a million books; I am a member of the Historical Novel Society (HNS), Novelists, Inc. (NINC), and the Historical Fiction Author Cooperative (HFAC).
