i didnt really get any inspiration except from my brain haha, but I can tell you how I planned it! I wanted stalker-ish vibes and obsession hidden as admiration from the protagonist, and the reader to feel eerie and excited from the character's mind and inner choices, so i guess that fits karina..
for the antagonist, i needed a sharp contrast between karina and winter. i made winter perceived as innocent and sweet, almost like a dream that karina finds alluring to have; to keep. but i wanted winter to have a purpose instead of just being clueless, which is why she already knows about how karina truly is.
