I have always loved to write, but life got in the way and I found myself not writing as much and then not writing at all. :( But I have returned to one of my first loves. I wrote my first book before I even went to kindergarten. Lol  
Some of my favorite classic writers are: William Shakespeare, Aesop, Grimm Brothers, Emily Bronte, Jane Austen, Mark Twain, and Edar Allen Poe.

Some of my favorite modern writers are are: Nicolas Sparks, Ian McEwan,E L James, Frank Peretti, Janette Oke.

I'm sure I have a few more favorites that are just not coming to mind right now. LoL

Now quit reading boring stuff about me and go read a good book. :)
