Interesting lessons on death:
Most persons may think that there's a “immortal soul” which lives on after death but according to the Bible, that's not so. The adjective "immortal" is never attached to the noun soul.
Job 27:3 says “All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils.”
After death the spirit of God or breath of life described in Genesis returns to God who loaned it to us while creating you in the womb.
Only God is immortal (1Timothy 6:15-16) even the angels aren't immortal, but borrow life from God. And here's the blunt truth: even the devil borrows life from God.
Which brings me to another topic to be discussed...why God lets the devil live on...
