I'm very flattered that you come to me for writing advice! 1. try to glean from real life feelings you have felt. usually I keep a moleskine on me so I can note down what I see, hear, feel, and transform them into metaphors. 2. Expand your horizons. listen to interviews, read poems, listen to songs, hear what other people have to say about this world that you're missing out on, and translate that into writing 3. practice practice practice!!!!!! ive been writing since I was 13, and now im 21. I have 8 years of writing under my belt, and practice is the most important. write in notebooks, phone notes, back of receipts, journals. writing consistently is key. 4. don't be afraid to try a new style of writing! whether its a poem format, a movie script format, or whatever, try something new! I hope these help <3 happy writing!
