When you want to be a full-time writer, but realize all of the medications you are taking for various health conditions you are developing due to crappy genetics are starting to mess with your brain, then #welcometomylife.
I have cleaned up my diet. I don't eat sugar or starches. I keep my carb intake under control and my blood sugar numbers are fabulous. I have lost 30 pounds (13.6 kg). Yet, the health problems keep piling on, along with the new medications and new side effects. I am realizing I have lost memories, forgotten interactions and conversations, forgotten words, difficulty concentrating, and slower processing. And let's not even start with the fatigue!
So, I will try my best to keep writing. But if I start writing stuff that sounds like I was high when I wrote it, announce something repeatedly, forget a conversation, or forget something I should already know, now you know why. Thank you, my loyal jabberwockies. I mean readers. Oops!
