Hello, Dear Readers!

Long time, no update. Life has been a bit difficult on my end, leaving little time to write, but I figured now would be a good time to remind all of the BTS fans looking for a holiday season read, it doesn't look the part because of the title, but my book The Restoration Project might just be what you are looking for! Give it a read (or reread)!

Hey, Ms. Carlson. How are you?

@Chatayer if they eat raccoons for Thanksgiving, it must be in the backwoods of some very rural parts of our country because I have never heard of that. I have heard of hunting raccoons on occasion when they become a nuisance and using their fur, but not intentionally hunting and eating them for Thanksgiving. Then again, my husband's mom thought I was a bit too high-class for him, and I discovered that he occasionally ate squirrels as a kid. He didn't like it, but he ate what he was served. Their brains are the best part according to his grandmother. (Ick!) He's a country boy. I'm a suburban girl. Suburban girls don't eat squirrels. We put out feeders for them and watch them eat in awe, wishing they could be our pets.

No need to excuse your French. Mr. Colin "Fine Ass" Firth is a finely aging fine piece of ass. No doubt about it!

@dwcarlson Don't know how I didn't see this. I heard some people even eat raccoons this time if the year. Is that true?

'Love, Actually' is a classic. Mr. Firth is a fine piece of ass, excuse my French.

@dwcarlson Did you end up eating turkey, or something else? What forms the majority of your watching content on YouTube? Mine's usually TikTok compilations. What's your favorite Christmas movie? Mine (i think it should apply) would be 'Love, Actually'.

Hi, Ms. Carlson. Hope you're doing okay. Haven't seen you around in a while.

@dwcarlson Hey, I'm glad you got the surgery done. It is indeed a wonderful idea (or is it?). I was far more worried for your health than your writing. I'm sure your work will be amazing as usual. I'd rather ask you to not worry about the story. Instead, focus on recovering. Hope you get back to a hundred percent soon! ❤️

@Chatayer Hi! Thank you for checking in. I got very busy in life and work the past few months. I had major surgery (elective) on June 3rd and the recovery has been slow. I'm also taking online classes this summer for recertification and graduate credit because taking classes while recovering from major surgery is a brilliant idea. Sarcasm aside, needs dictated the addition to my summer plans. Don't worry. I am still finding moments to write. I'm just a lot slower and less prolific than usual due to life getting in the way. At the moment, I have a female OC exploring relationships with two different BTS members. That's the most I will reveal. I hope you are well.

When you want to be a full-time writer, but realize all of the medications you are taking for various health conditions you are developing due to crappy genetics are starting to mess with your brain, then #welcometomylife.

I have cleaned up my diet. I don't eat sugar or starches. I keep my carb intake under control and my blood sugar numbers are fabulous. I have lost 30 pounds (13.6 kg). Yet, the health problems keep piling on, along with the new medications and new side effects. I am realizing I have lost memories, forgotten interactions and conversations, forgotten words, difficulty concentrating, and slower processing. And let's not even start with the fatigue!

So, I will try my best to keep writing. But if I start writing stuff that sounds like I was high when I wrote it, announce something repeatedly, forget a conversation, or forget something I should already know, now you know why. Thank you, my loyal jabberwockies. I mean readers. Oops!

@dwcarlson Genetics can be quite the bitch sometimes. I don't eat sugar anymore either. Replaced it with honey. Has the good doctor recommended some memory exercises for the side effects as and when they pertain to memory loss?

Someone once told me that real beauty within the depths of chaos, and I think it's going to prove to be the case in your future stories, Ms. Carlson. I feel that your best work will arrive when you are the most tormented and unable.

            But that's just my take.

            Have a good one! <3

Please take care of your mental health as well. Take some alone time, practice mindfulness, and don’t forget to enjoy simple things in life when times become overwhelming.

May I suggest to have a notepad (physical or electronic) so you can write down those interactions or conversations? so you won’t forget them; just a keyword that will help you trigger back that memory; and if you do this with pen and paper instead of electronic devices your brain will process it more effectively. Our brain works better through our senses, and using our fine motor skills imprint significantly in our brain.

I truly hope you feel better in time, and take as much of it for you, even if you want to put a halt on your writing.

            Best wishes!

You need to stop writing for a bit, Ms. Carlson. I need to catch up to all the stories I haven't read yet, after all.

dwcarlson

@Chatayer I need to stop putting off part 10, and then do exactly that. I agree 100%. So...maybe in 2026? Lol

Would also love it if you'd add Precious Gems parts 6-9 into your compiled story for the same.

Don't ask. I'm too lazy lmao.
