@katiegoesmew That's a lot of things I didn't know about the production and script XDDD But I get your point!! I also don't like how they made the dragons look truth be told!! Maybe, it's because How To Train Your Dragon was one of the starting movies I watched as a child but I love the original one too much T-T
@dyingfrominside It was good, but I'd been told it was a shot-for-shot remake, and it definitely wasn't. They incorporated so much stuff that wasn't there in the first movie but came out in the TV shows and the second and third movies, like Snotlout's difficult relationship with his father, and that has me worried that they'll add a bunch of new stuff in future movies because they've already used material that helped fill the original second and third movies out, if that makes sense. And they changed the backstory for Berk to accommodate a more diverse cast... I think they handled that well, but again, it makes me worry about what they'll change in the future. The original movies were perfect. Don't fix what isn't broken, ya know? But I suppose the changes they make could improve things... we'll see. Oh, and I don't like how the dragons look. They were really trying to get a realistic lizard-y look going on, and the dragons all look disgusting now. I don't like that at all. But! They nailed the fight with the Red Death. That was such an amazing moment in the original movie, when the people down below look up at the sky, and it just looks like a lightning storm in the clouds. If they'd tried to change that, I would have been very, very upset. Same with the part where Toothless rescues Hiccup in the arena. Those are such pivotal scenes that needed to stay the same. Ahem... okay, I'll stop. XD
