My name is Elizabeth Karnavar, and I was born in Brooklyn, New York. 

I have two older brothers, making me the youngest child, and also the only girl.

I am mother to three wonderful children, two girls and a boy; ages 30, 24 and 23.

The inspiration behind writing my book Dangerous Arrangements started out as a cathartic journal that evolved into a burden of love for others. 

In November of 2009, I received a phone call that would bring me to my knees and subsequently force me to deal with my painful past. 

My Father was strangled to death during a "robbery" at our family home in Kerala, India. 

Devastated by the news of his murder, I set out to find out what truly transpired that night, and in the process was forced to confront my complicated past that ultimately led me and my family up to that fateful night.

Inundated with pain from a life abounding with sexual, physical and emotional abuse, attempted suicides, teenage pregnancy, an arranged marriage, drug addictions, illicit affairs, depression, betrayals, and dark family secrets; I was now left with the challenge of living a "normal" life.

I went through a series of intense emotional ups and downs that led me to God, a path of healing and recovery that freed me from the strongholds of my past.

I received the revelation of writing this book to enable women, both young and old, single, divorced or married, to help empower them to overcome similar struggles.
