[ it was nearly hand to stand upright, he’d crawled through the woods until he reached a hint of civilization relieved that he’d sensed someone familiar. at the feeling of her hands, stefan shuddered. she was warmer than he was expecting and he’d felt so cold, his skin pale and littered with purple veins. he wasn’t healing. with a nod, he follows her to the couch unsure if he wanted to throw up or collapse. ] they poisoned me for days… [ his hands were still stinging from the ropes soaked in concentrated vervain and he could feel the veins under his eyes pulsing with every passing second; his fangs were practically aching with hunger. briefly, he takes her hand. ] i was hunting for small game i didn’t even (…) [ he couldn’t finish his sentence, swallowing softly. some hunters were different than others. ]

            oh my god—-    [ it’s instinct to her.  her body reacts before her brain gets a chance to respond.  julia’s hands reach for her friend,  holding him upright at both sides of his arms.  her expression says it all.  the concern and worry takes over completely,  not allowing room for anything else. ]    it’s okay.  i can help you—-  let’s just find somewhere for you to sit,  alright?  

  “  no  you  are  not  okay.  ”  he  took  her  hand  in  his  and  he  guided  her  to  sit  down.  “  please  let  me  help  you.  ”

            /  GASP is this the part where he discovers she’s half vampire????!! 

  this  is  what  always  happened,  he  was  a walking  hazard.  or  more  like  a  poison.  it  really  cemented  the  fact  he  wasn't  made  for  anything  more  than  a  one  night  sort  of  deal.  “  yeah  this  is  a  joke.  you're  a  joke  i  don't  even  want  to  look  at  you  anymore.  take  sam  and—  you  two  just  go  somewhere  that  isn't  here.  ” he  snapped  at  her,  he  hated  this.  this  funny  feeling.  but  he  stomped  it  out  like  he  always  did.  julia  wasn't  ever  going  to  be  anything  to  him.  but  sam,  sam  would  treat  her  right  and  he  knew  that.

            [ she could feel it—-  the pain in her chest.  there’s a moment where she debates getting up without a word,  but she had always been impulsive,  especially with him.  julia sits up from her position and stands with her bag in hand. ]    fine.  i knew i shouldn’t have come.  what a joke—-   [ she’s gathering her things and placing them in her satchel,  clearly irritated.  there’s so much she wants to say,  but she can’t.  not because she doesn’t want to but because if she does,  she’ll cry—-  she knows it.  

   that  hurt,  it  really  did.  but  dean  was  never  made  for  anything  long  term.  but  that  didn't  mean  he  hadn't  thought  about  it.  back  when  things  were  okay.  back  when  he  took  her  for  rides  but ..  that  was  a  while  back.  “  of  course  you  are.  he'll  be  back  any  minute  maybe  you  should  wait  outside.  ”

[ biting down on his lips slightly, jack walks closer, closing the gap between them slightly. a small smile tugs at his lips as she looked his way. ] well one, [ he puts his hand behind his back for a moment, revealing a bouquet of her favorite flowers in his hand, ] i got your favorite flowers and two (…) i was thinking since the storm hasn’t passed yet, i can make your favorite pasta, pop open a bottle of wine and, [ he shrugs, sighing dreamily, ] i dunno, see where the rest of the night takes us, but i can’t do that if you keep turning away from me.

[ it’s impossible for her to stay upset,  but,  still,  she keeps her arms crossed against her chest.  her gaze is away from him,  head turned and fighting the urge to let her walls fall in a way he could see.  her attention flicks to him momentarily,  a brow raising. ]    oh yeah?  how so?

            i didn’t mean to wake you.    [ at the edge of the bed,  julia can be seen leaning over as she ties her shoes.  she speaks soft—-  quiet,  as if there’s other people in her home.  there’s not.  it’s still dark out,  the sun barely breaks the sky.  with light footsteps,  she makes her way over to the side of the bed,  sitting beside him and allowing her hand to meet his face.  she gently brushes a thumb against his stubble. ]    i was just going to do a few miles and come back.  i won’t be long.
