Hey lovelies!
I had a new book idea, so I just decided to... go with it, and I think I'm going to work on Until Kingdom Come and this one at the same time. It's not part of the other series at all, it's just a stand-alone that I liked the idea of, and I decided to call it "When I'm Looking Back." I recently published the prologue if you'd like to check it out! But basically, here's what it's about:
Channing Melendez, an Olympic snowboarder, died during an accident at a competition, leaving behind his legacy for his son, Wesley, but Wesley refused to even touch a snowboard after what happened. Until he was 12 and met Bo Davenport, a 23 year old that Channing trained personally. Now, Bo is training Wesley. Bo becomes like a father to Wesley throughout the years of grief and struggling to get the hang of the sport his father once loved. By 22, Wesley is a professional snowboarder like his father, on the path to earning a spot at the Olympics. All it takes is proving himself at a huge competition that's supposed to boost his career and guarantee him a ticket. But he misjudges and falls, shattering his leg and ending up in the hospital. Wesley completely loses faith in himself and is worried that he disappointed his father, but Bo and Wesley's nurse, Freya, are determined to make sure he finds his way back to the snow, whatever it takes. Through physical therapy, sleepless nights, even an attempt on his own life. Bo is willing to carry Wesley's weight on his own back until Wesley is strong enough to carry it himself. And finally, months later, Wesley is back at the slope that injured him initially, ready to create his own legacy.
Hope you consider reading it, and if you do, I hope you enjoy it! :)
