Last night, I published this chapter. I had so many feelings running through my heart when I hit the button. This chapter reads nothing like the original. Because of all the changes I made throughout this story, especially in this book, I had to rewrite most of what I had written before.
One of my challenges was to write song lyrics, which I've never done. A few months ago, while on a long drive, I wrote down pieces of what would eventually become what you read here. I had no idea if I would use them or if they would work once I got to this point. Thankfully, Zayne knew exactly what to say.
This chapter was also difficult to write because the added plot twist, which came to me shortly after I started editing the series, finally had to be revealed. I started leaving crumbs for all of you back in Control and made them a little more obvious in this book. It's a heartbreaking revelation for Bodie (you'll see his POV on it in the next chapter). Hopefully, you're able to figure it out. If you can't, please let me know, and I'll explain it better.
I had so many moments of "What the hell did I just do?" and "Damn, that was good!" followed by tears and curse words. This chapter is definitely not my longest, but I do think it's my most powerful one.
