          Dear aMoC-Participants,
          
          I hope this message finds you well.
          
          I‘d like to inform you all that I unfortunately have to extend the judging period by a few days. A lot has being going on this past week and on top of that I just caught a bad cold. I had hoped that giving up one of the two „judging“ weeks as an extension for you to complete your entries, instead of pushing the entire schedule would work out just fine, but I guess I overestimated myself there — I’m so sorry for causing these troubles now! 
          
          I will finish up all the reviews and reorganization of the project (in terms of teams, upcoming rounds etc. after the withdrawals) by October 25th latest and update the calendar visuals as soon as possible! 
          
          So sorry for the delay, but I promise to catch up quickly. Thank you!

In hindsight of recent news I’ve come to remember where my Wattpad journey started and how I ended up at where I am in life right now. How I wouldn’t have met most of my closest friends; wouldn’t have shaped myself into who I am through certain hobbies, career choices and all that; wouldn’t have had the chance to create “eggyeuls” and all that it stands for nowadays, all the doors it opened up for me; might not even be here all together — if it weren’t for little me, from over a decade ago, whose entire world was a Boyband called “One Direction”. 
          
          I’m more than aware of the recent discourse around Liam Payne and I still stand by any victims coming forward with their experiences. I stand for everyone’s right to speak up and be heard — and simultaneously I don’t support any plain bullying-for-entertainment. This situation really shows how we never learn from anything, it highlights how so many of us lack basic compassion and understanding for there being a time and a place for everything. 
          
          I personally think you can acknowledge the absolute tragedy of a human being placed into such extreme spotlight at a way too young age, breaking under the immense pressure, dealing with severe (mental) health and substance struggles — while simultaneously acknowledging that (allegedly or not) people have been hurt and that he has caused harm to himself and others in one way or another. One does not erase the other and both can exist at the same time.

          Dear aMoC-Participants,
          
          I understand that some of you may be considering withdrawing from the competition or have already come forward with the intent to do so. Please be assured that I respect your decision and will never force anyone to continue — no one should feel pressured to do so if they’re not comfortable or able to. However, I want to emphasize the impact that a withdrawal can have on your team partner.
          
          As you know, at least one of the upcoming rounds focuses on direct teamwork and features tailored scores based on those collaborative efforts. If you choose to step back, it's likely that your partner will also be unable to continue participating. Reassigning teams for those that have been left behind isn’t impossible, but I won’t make promises that I can’t ensure will be kept. It depends on how many participants are left over, as well as the narratives they’re working with. Regardless, tho especially with an uneven number of participants, unfairness is bound to become a real issue.
          
          Again, I won’t force anyone to continue if they’re unable to. However, I’d like to encourage you to consider the consequences for your team partner and to communicate with them before making a final decision. 
          
          If you have any concerns or need to talk it through, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to support you.
