I feel like when Wattpad readers make characters they forget sexuality/race doesn't equal personality. if it's a story about race or sexuality I get that the topic would be mentioned a lot but ya still gotta make the character likeable.
          
          
          then the perfect character, they have a perfect life and go through nothing. this is mostly seen in the self-insert stories, the mc is useless and relies on everyone and is the embodiment of "im not like the other girls"

if you think about it wattpad fetishes mlm and all of that. like when you see a gay smut book on here who do you think the audience is? im not saying you cant have gay characters or a book on sexuality. its just weird how there are so many books with gay smut books. example the kpop smut books, they are real people being shipped and thought in a sexual way. its very weird, but its not like it will change anything
