Story in progress!!!
Sixteen-year-old Ellis Silvestre spends the summer in her late grandfather's hometown-a quiet seaside village where every breeze stirs a memory. A painter with a fading clock inside her chest, Ellis hopes to honor her grandfather's last wish: to finish the portrait he never could and win the art contest he once dreamed of.
But mentors are hard to find, and time even harder to hold.
Then she meets Ethan Albarico, a boy with paint on his fingers and grief in his silence. When he agrees to help her-for a price-they begin to share more than canvas and color. As the portrait nears completion, so does something unspoken between them.
But when dreams are borrowed and goodbyes come early, how do you know what's yours to keep?
