Here is the 15th chapter of TIME. Slowly but surely re-publishing every chapter before updating to NEW ONES, which I’m very excited about. ❤️

PLEASE READ

I’m kind of nervous to type this out but I need to say something that has been on my heart, especially now that TIME, my first Prince piece in the purple world, is being re-published in it’s original entirety.

It was never meant to be a happy story but I was writing it without thinking about who would possibly be affected. I put *trigger warnings* at the top of almost every chapter without context.

I wanted to write reality. The reality of drug addiction that doesn’t get talked about. Not the stigmatized version but the raw reality. So people could feel seen and understood.

What it’s like to be in a relationship with an addict. What’s it like to love the one addicted with your whole heart while praying that they survive another day. What it’s like to watch them destroy themselves and their families. The arguments that come from pure desperation to save. The arguments that come with doing whatever it takes to keep their family safe and away from the one destroying their life.

Medical settings that showcase what the body goes through due to long-term drug use with a major, life-altering relapse. Medical settings that family members who don’t understand, find themselves in. What it looks like to enable because at least you get to see and talk to the one who could not have tomorrow.

Getting and staying clean in order to receive the happiness the addicted’s heart craves. In order to beat the odds. Only to fail more than once. The shame that comes with disappointing their family and themselves and wanting to disappear because it’d be easier. The guilt.

Lying. Manipulation. The never ending cycle of not wanting to be addicted anymore but having no idea how to get out.

The struggle it takes to stay clean because darkness will be around the corner for the rest of one’s life.

If you decide to never start reading or decide to never read it again, I understand.❤️

Thank you for sharing the story. I’ve never read anything more raw when it comes to addiction. It’s a story I’ll never forget♥️

Hiiii.

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve updated anything except for The Runaway.

However, my first EVER Purple world story has a special place in my heart and I’ve been debating with the idea of bringing it back. Either by updating or by completely rewriting it.

If you’ve read TIME, you know the rollercoaster it is. I wouldn’t change their story. But I’m curious..

          The choice is yours.❤️
