ᵀᴴᴱ *⠀ Lady of the Forest, a decaying beauty. There tells the popular tale of the Lady of the Forest: she is the Witch who calls herself “Althaea”, an ancient being residing in the dreamlike forest, known for her mischievous behavior—playing tricks and stealing from anyone that dares to tread on her territory. The forest itself is a living being, shaped and easily manipulated by the Witch’s own hands. A fairykin, or Fae, she shapeshifts and casts spells on those who invoke her ire, transforming them into one of the animals of the forest. Unpredictable in being either good or evil; benevolent or malevolent; an elusive yet omnipresent Lady, easily recognizable with the scent of sweet fruits and flowers. The Witch is rumored to be the goddess of the Fae who disappeared long ago.
