Having a best friend from NYC is the funniest thing ever.
Not that long ago we were complaining about pavements. We both live in Central Europe so having someone you can argue with is rare despite studying a private language grammar school.
I insisted on pavement being called pavement while she kept on calling it a sidewalk. Nah mate.
While we were arguing a friend of her came to us and told us both to stop arguing over this nonsense and said pavement in Vietnamese.
We were all complete done and started calling each other ‘Pavement’ and ‘sidewalk’
We were going to the shopping centre around 11pm on a Friday night with and let’s just say we weren’t exactly aware of things.
There was a group of people and a police car with an open window. I asked her “my lovely pavement, would u be so kind and hand me the vape?”
Let’s just say I’m glad the police weren’t paying attention to us cuz otherwise I would have gotten arrested (I’m 17 and told me parents that I’m already at my friends falling asleep) ♀️
