Hey everyone,
I want to take a moment to speak honestly and from the heart….not just as the writer of The Truth Untold, but as someone who deeply respects the characters, the ships, and each one of you who read this story with such intensity.
When I first began writing The Truth Untold, I had a very personal and clear vision in mind, this was always a story meant to lead toward Taekook and Yoonmin. That was the emotional anchor I started with. But as the story unfolded, and I connected more with your feedback, I began receiving suggestions…some of you wondered if I’d explore Vminkook or open the door to a poly dynamic. And I listened, because I value your voices. I wanted to try, to be inclusive, to challenge myself and see where it could go.
But as the chapters progressed, I realized something important: I couldn’t do it justice.
Not because poly love isn’t valid…it absolutely is. But because I, personally, couldn’t write it with the depth, care, and authenticity it deserves. It didn’t align with the emotional core I’d built in the beginning, and that’s where I started to lose myself in the process.
So the story slowly shifted into a love triangle. One full of longing, heartbreak, jealousy, and complicated emotions, but even then, it was always meant to come full circle: Taekook and Yoonmin were the endgame. That’s where my heart remained, even if the road there became tangled.
