Today’s the day! The last chapter of Between the Quick and the Dead has posted and our first journey with Drew and Avery is over. But as the last page shows, I have so much more in mind for them.

I have two additional novels’ worth of story for Drew and Avery in my head, and perhaps one day I’ll write all that down, too. If you read the story, you have my thanks!

When I wrote this story it was over the course of a few weeks where I felt completely subsumed by it. I could do nothing but write it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. One day I will get that feeling again, and maybe that will be the time that I will tell what’s in store for Avery as she considers the hugely consequential choice in front of her.

I have two stories rattling around in my head that I'll eventually get around to writing.

The first one has the working title, "A Year at the Memory Care Clinic," about a woman with amnesia and the very caring people around her who have to work to bring her back and win her love all over again.

The second has no working title yet, but takes place in a city on the verge of societal collapse, in the grips of violent unrest, and a pair of young newlyweds who have to escape before they are trapped before the encroaching regime.

I love being able to write up all of these little stories, and I hope you like them, too.

I’ve always got music playing when I write, and as we’re getting close to the conclusion of Between the Quick and the Dead, I thought I’d share the songs that soundtracked my process.

Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place
Massive Attack - Angel (especially the first half of chapter four)
          Nuvilices - God Given
          Amber Run - I Found

Today I've got another chapter of Corporate Bloodsuckers for you.

As I mention in the description, this is a fanfic based on Filthy Rich Vampires by Geneva Lee. I'm a big fan of the series, as well as Filthy Rich Fae, and the characters are so rich and well developed that I was excited to play around with them.

Another chapter up for Alone in the Woods! But I’m already thinking of how to put another dream to paper. Set in a city plagued by civil unrest, and two people caught in the crossfire, so one can escape to freedom.

For now, I hope you enjoy reading Chapter 7 of AITW.

Today I've released another chapter in my next Wattpad story, Alone in the Woods.

This story follows Cam and Dana, total strangers to one another, who encounter each other while lost in a forest preserve. While they could hear helicopters searching for them in the beginning, after a few days of roughing it, the sounds are now gone and they're on their own to survive.

In this latest chapter, their time in the woods has come to an end - whether that's rescue or death is yet to be revealed. In the time they've been lost together they've developed an admiration for one another that they'd have to admit has gone beyond friendship. But to what? They are both tethered to other people they left behind when they got lost.

I've had this story floating around my head for years, and I'm excited to bring it more to life. As it's a work in progress, some edits for clarity and grammar may still be made as I go back and read, but the major plot points won't be changing. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello all! I'm happy to introduce you to my first story on Wattpad, Between the Quick and the Dead.

I grew up Catholic, and the complex and intricate web of mythology and demonology that has developed around the religion has always fascinated me. In this story, I explore the reputation that the demons have in the Bible and Christian writing, despite the indispensable role they play in making the celestial world go round.

In the story, Drew is the protagonist demon, keenly aware of the inherent conflict of doing righteous work in what would be considered a sinful way in any other context. Demons are reviled but, as the saying goes, a necessary evil.

He encounters Avery, an average human with an above-average sense of moral duty, and he struggles with understanding what the world owes her, and why she chooses a righteous life. When they fall in love, their worlds become infinitely more complex.

By the end of the story we, as readers, get to examine difficult moral questions wrapped around what I hope is an endearing love story, with a little bit of sex peppered in as a treat. New chapters release every Wednesday, but the story is done, so you only have to wait a little while before you'll get to the satisfying conclusion, and teaser for an exciting new adventure that might await the couple.

I'd love to know what you think of it! Thanks for reading :)
