So I felt it in my heart to make a post about the general status of this account and future uploads.
Firstly, my newest book got taken down and no one told me when or why. I assume it got pounced on by Disney. It wasn't obscene or poorly written, a fact I take pride in. I genuinely liked the story but I won't be attempting to republish it.
I probably won't be updating Fearless going forward. It was really high in the algorithm at one point but I wasn't consistent in updating it, for real-life reasons, and it lost its ranking. I don't even watch TWD anymore, so my inspiration is all but drained. Additionally, no one seems to read it anymore so I don't feel any urgency to revise the rest of the chapters for the book and upload them.
When I started Wattpad I loved X Readers so much that I started writing them and that was my genre. But I've grown and I've began to stray away from that genre. I just don't have the time to write or read them the way I used to.
And that's kind of the thing with Wattpad. It can be so much fun and have a community aspect to it, that I enjoy. But I genuinely want to introduce my own concepts, characters, and stories. I can't compete with the professional writers that have been introduced on this website. I mean I could, I'm Carli Freaking Quinn (sarcasm), but competing isn't fun. I've always written and read for fun. I cannot harvest my fullest creative potential when I am competing for something. At the same time, I cannot feel comfortable deviating from my original storyline for the sake of metrics at the cost of my story's original plot. So, I will complete the books I have here and then I will be moving into Original Fiction full time.
I'll always be here. Silently reading your books, too nervous to comment because I'm that closeted introvert who started reading in the first place to feel more social. I'll still reply to all of your comments when I eventually see them.
