@nnnnnkly — This is going to be a serious one bcs college is just as serious
1. ABSOLUTELY keep up with deadlines. Don't be too lenient and think you can do it in one day — you probably can, but you won't be as satisfied with your task (though it still depends).
2. Keep your friends to a minimum. Only keep people who you really like around because if you don't, chances are that some of your /friends/ will only hinder you and your growth in general
3. (If you really want to join orgs/clubs) It's a good way to start your work connections early esp in college! BUT don't let yourself get too immersed with it bcs I've seen a handful of people put orgs first before their actual academic tasks (and it's going to be annoying to some of your classmates
especially if there are groupworks etc.)
4. As much as possible, make a summary of every lesson so you won't have to rush with making reviewers when exam season comes by. (I personally like using the flashcard and quiz feature on Quizlet!)
Extra if you're just about to enter college: PLEASE choose a course/major which you'll absolutely love!! If you want to go on the more practical route, choose one that's still /somewhat/ connected to your passion.
I personally wanted to enter creative writing but since I found it to be on the more ambitious side and a major for those who are really talented, I decided to choose communication instead (and because of it i found another passion besides writing!!)
That's all. I hope my ramble makes sense:')
