Note for the Future:
This is to the person who has notified Wattpad of my recent post and what I said. But it's also to anyone who reacts in the same manner on any other social media platform.
Thank you for your concern; but please, there's no need for it.
I understand completely that you are trying to help, and appreciate that, but this has been an ongoing problem that I deal with and many others as I've seen. Whenever someone is to.. vent something out such as I did, whether it be through vague writing, a straight-forward vent, or a piece of art; please do not notify a system's help center.
I've been notified on Instagram for saying such things many times, here on Wattpad now, and many other platforms. I've also seen, and as I stated earlier, many others having been given to same notification. Again, it's truly not necessary; and, it doesn't really help either. When someone is comfortable enough to explicitly say that they've tried to kill themselves, or that they've harmed themselves, or that they deal with a mind much darker than others, they hope and they trust that someone will not have to notify a website's/app's help center. Sure, again, it's nice to know someone cares, but it makes the receiver of the message horrible to be sent numerous links pertaining to hotlines/hotline chats, links to support-portals, and many others. The receiver could feel very self-conscious then about what they feel, and then they will no longer be able to talk to someone in fear that they could be told, "This isn't right, you need to get some help." or often hearing, "You need some professional help." do many people choose such routes? Yes. But many others can feel a sort of pressure with such thoughts of how those routes will turn out, so in turn, they choose not to walk down and explore those paths.
Again, thank you for your concern, but it makes us often feel even worse in the future being sent such things. If you've also read this far, thank you.
