Emery J. Y. Lo was raised in Singapore, where she studied accountancy and fine arts. She was working as a senior audit manager in an international accounting firm when one day, she had an epiphany to write about love inspired stories based on real people whom she had met on her journey to recovery from a divorce.

A stoic number cruncher turned writer, Emery writes about women’s fiction and reaches out to her readers with tales of ordinary people who suddenly find themselves caught in unexpected life-changing situations, but eventually emerged stronger and wiser. 

Emery's first novel is a heart-warming story about the adventure of a young mother and son, who embarked on a spiritual trip to an unfamiliar destination, to escape from the grim aftermath of a traumatic divorce. A single working mother herself, Emery portrays vivid and honest characters in her stories that women, mothers, divorcees, and working parents can identify with.

Her upcoming book series explores the meaning of true love, romance, marriage and commitments through the undertones within steamy adulterous cases handled by a seasoned private investigator who specializes in catching cheating spouses.

She works and lives in Singapore with her young son. When she doesn't have a hands full with her mummy chores, she would sweat it out with kick-boxing, enjoy indie films and chill out with good food and wine.
