update!
          
          i've been offline for a year or more now, self-publishing my wattpad backlog. i now have six YA novels available for purchase, two YA novellas, and a children's book! my linktree is linked in my bio here.
          
          i'm more active on instagram (@themmasmith) if you're interested in keeping up with me or finding out more about me and my work.
          
          but - excitingly - i'm posting on here for the first time in years tomorrow!
          
          because i can't decide which of my drafts i want to self-publish next... i'm going to publish the first chapters of three separate stories here, so you can help me to choose! if you want to be a part of the decision, you can read all three from midnight (british time) and DM me your fav on instagram.
          
          the one with the most votes will more than likely be the one i decide to release next!

HEY

You might have guessed, but this is the first year in four or five that I haven't entered my books into the Wattys.
          
          Maybe I could've entered Martha again, or Lukewarm, I don't know. But now that my self-publishing is picking up and I'm looking at my backlog again to see what I want to share next, it just didn't seem like a smart option. Over the next year, I'm not sure if I'll want ANY of my books online for free, especially given Wasted's release this November and some of my short stories mayyybe coming out too. 
          
          Good luck to everyone who has entered, because I'm so sure you'll smash it. I still adore the community of writers on Wattpad and get so mad when people dis the site, because there's so much talent and creativity on here waiting to be discovered.

Finally, the epilogue to 'Lukewarm' is out. If you want to check out a teen "romance" which highlights the reality of a teacher/student relationship in gritty detail, go check it out now, because it's officially complete!
          
          Knowing Poppy's ending is kind of bittersweet, because I grew so attached to that group of girls. Maybe you'll be seeing more of Mira, Holly, Logan, Margot and the others soon... who knows.

I am a novice like most people on here but what I seem to struggle with most is keeping a regular chapter update streaks on any of my books.
          
          Any piece of advice?
