Heyyy everyone!
          Long time no post! A brief update on Nightingale-
          It has been finished, edited and formatted, all I need to do now is upload it to KDP and approve the proof copy. I initially wanted to go back and thin out the middle part, but I got lazy and didn't want to re-write and re-format, so I'm publishing as is :D

Hey everyone!
          If you've been following my journey over on Instagram you'll know this- but the official cover/release month for Nightingale is out! 
          I have officially finished my first draft (55k) words on Thursday, and now I am in the editing phase :) Based on my progress, the publication date for Nightingale is in August 2020! So... get excited!

I've been so inactive on Wattpad lately- but I just wanted to give y'all an update on Nightingale.
          I just reached 50k words yesterday! I'm aiming for 60k words in total, so it's a huge milestone for me :) I also just commissioned an artist to draw portraits for all my characters. (If you wanna see how they turned out, be sure to follow my Instagram account @emmavictoriawrites for future updates).
          It just seemed like yesterday when I sat down with nothing but a computer and a vague idea. Now, look how far Nightingale has come! 
          I'm so grateful for all of you who have supported me throughout this journey- I'll be sure to keep you updated on new releases and updates!

Hey guys! I've officially made the decision to PUBLISH Nightingale... Yup, in just a few months, you'll be able to find Nightingale online and in stores. I'm super excited about this announcement, but I need YOUR help. I'm starting my digital marketing phase tomorrow, so please help me spread the word! If you enjoyed reading the first chapter, or you know someone who will, let them know about it!

 #shawrocketprize closes TONIGHT at midnight! 
          It's been a crazy journey- ending in insomnia, tears, and frustration, but I got to meet/talk to so many incredible writers out there, and it was truly a blessing <3
          I know a lot of people are cheering for Nightingale, but, regardless of the results, the most important thing is to grow and learn as a writer... right?  (no pun intended)
          Judging ends on/about May 12, so I will probably update around then. I have over 20,000 words written, but can't post it yet... 
          But until then, you can find me sitting at my computer 24/7 reading other entries and trying to analyze my own odds  (What can I say, I'm a bit crazy!)

So today I logged on to Wattpad, just to see that Nightgale jumped up the ratings again! I also hit 150 reads, which was my goal :) 
          Thank you so much to all of you out there who have liked/commented on Nightingale- I do take every comment to heart, so I hope you can see yourself reflected a bit through the story. 
          I'm honestly counting down the minutes until #shawrocketprize closes because then I can finally release my new chapters! Anddd on the topic of the contest, I just wanted to give a shout out to all my fellow Canadian writers out there (woot woot!)  I've spent this past week reading/commenting on your guys' work, and it really is amazing to see all the cool ideas you've all come up with. You all have a GREAT shot at winning- I truly do hope to see one of your guys' stories make the top three. In the meantime, I wish all of you luck, and again- a huge thank you to all who have made Nightingale amazing <3
