September 11th, never forget. When we say that, it's obvious what that means. Never forget the pain. Never forget the sorrow. Never forget the fear. However September 11th was more than just death and suffering. We should also never forget the good. The people from all different races and religions and classes who came together to help search for survivors. The people, even from countries we were at war with, who took a pause to grieve for our dead - people whom we Americans never even gave a second thought as we burned their homes. Never forget Canada, who's people opened their homes and let those of us who were lost have a place to sleep and cry during that horror. Never forget that despite this tragedy, which intended to defeat us by ruling our lives with fear and hate, instead united us under the cause of sympathy and love.
Never forget September 11th, the day the whole world stood still. That time when, for just one day, there was no America, no Russia, no Islam, no borders to divide us, religions to separate us. Just humanity, sharing in the collective pain of losing so many so fast.
