Maybe it's that I'm nonbinary and so many of them are like stereotypical male character x girl and girl is infantalized or overly assholish to seem strong and equal to the boy and it's like ???? No???? and all the boy ones are like just feel wrong ????
Anyways I cannot stand self insert fanfics please tell me it's not just me

Btw I hope y'all know the reason that the Izuku vigilante story isn't getting done is because I keep writing plans for the rest of it and then going back to write it and being like "wt actual f does this mean" like I have no idea what two months ago me was talking about it's like talking to a different person except I can't ask the person for any clarification so I just have to like soul search and be like "yeah that's probably what I meant" there's probably gonna be so many plot holes y'all I'm so sorry

This is the plot i was thinking btw✨
So the story goes during a class field trip to a rural area for a practical heroics training exercise, Izuku Midoriya comes into contact with contaminated water containing Naegleria fowleri. The exposure isn't a direct, perhaps he splashes water on his face during a rescue scenario or drinks from a seemingly clean stream. The initial symptoms are subtle: a mild headache, slight fever, and fatigue, easily dismissed as exertion. So Aizawa, ever vigilant, notices Izuku's unusual lethargy and subtle behavioral changes.
As the infection progresses, Izuku experiences increasingly severe symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, and seizures or maybe cognitive confusion?Aizawa, suspecting something beyond simple exhaustion, takes Izuku for tests. The diagnosis of Naegleria fowleri is shocking, the prognosis grim. However, due to Izuku's quirk, One For All, the infection manifests differently than in typical cases. The amoeba doesn't directly attack his brain tissue as aggressively, possibly due to the quirk's inherent regenerative and protective properties. Instead, it interacts with One For All, causing unpredictable bursts of energy, heightened sensitivity to stimuli, and temporary neurological disruptions.
The story focuses on Aizawa's race against time to find a treatment. He collaborates with specialists, they explore experimental treatments, focusing on managing the symptoms and minimizing the amoeba's impact on Izuku's brain. The could involve a sudden, severe exacerbation of the infection, requiring a desperate, high-stakes intervention. The ending could leave Izuku with some lingering neurological effects or subtle changes in his quirk's manifestation, highlighting the long-term consequences of the infection, but ultimately showcasing his survival and the strength of his bond with Aizawa.

Don't be offended if I don't get to it tho I'm at a point in my life where creative stuff only rly gets done if I feel motivated to do it and recently other ppl's requests haven't been motivating me but maybe this'll be the one who knows

Having this account is already a risk for me I can't lie, so having my stories stem off this app just feels like a digital footprint thing that would come back to bite me in the butt.
