an excerpt from the final chapter of starstruck —

THE SUN lit up the adorned backyard with golden rays. intricately designed fountains outside of the italian hillside villa greeted the guests.

the peaceful sounds of the ocean created a serene environment as everyone entered. the clicks of heels and dress shoes could be heard as guests walk down the cobblestone path from the staircase to the rows of white chairs sitting out on the lawn.

the backyard of the ornate manor was secluded by fresh hedges and blooming flowers. the gentle rush of the breeze flew through the overhanging trees as small conversations take up space in the garden. family members, cast mates and old friends alike were excited for the big day. it was a day of love, of union and of devotion.

"you're gonna miss it." madelaine says, realizing madison wasn't watching the sunrise anymore. when she earns no response, she looks to her again, the expression on her face unreadable. her eyebrows slightly furrowed and mouth curled downward.

"madison? are you okay?" madelaine asks, placing her hand on top of hers.

"i love you." madison blurts, making her girlfriend blink a couple times.

frustrated, madelaine grabs the box from her hand before she can open it. “what are you talking about?” she almost yells.

“drew!” madison raises her voice, flinging her arms outwards as if to say ‘duh!’

“god,” madelaine rolls her eyes, letting out a short, sarcastic laugh. “can’t you see i’m in love with you? not him!”
