            "Oh, hey! Somebody’s here, nice!"  The man with the green complexion said with a relieved grin. "I think I'm lost. Which isn't great considering that I don't have much Enerjeka left in these."  He flicked one of the energy drink cans secured to his drinking hat.

            The courier narrowed his eyes as the screen observing this individual. In response he got a securitron to go investigate. As the robot rolled out past the gate to meet them.

            Appearing into view was a green-skinned man dressed in a tracksuit. A pink drinking hat was nestled on his strawberry blond hair.
            He looked cheerful, and walked along with a spring in his step, despite the apocalyptic circumstances.
            He glanced around, surveying his surroundings.

what’s it to you?  *  his answer was as gruff as his voice.  disappointment laced his features as he took a step back,  wandering aimlessly.  he was getting nowhere closer to finding the other half of him.  was this even the right place?  what a strange place…  *  i don’t even know how i ended up in this place.

            * blurryface's ruby eyes stared back. his dark brown eyebrows furrowed as he tried to figure out who this guy was and why he was so... peculiar. the man seemed to have the same vibes as the glorious gone, the ones who were undead, and that piqued blurryface's interest. he felt relief wash over his lithe frame when the man shook his head and, in turn, had broken eye contact. *
            what are you?  /who/ are you?
            * he said, sounding judgemental, as he looked him up and down. * 

let me see you.  *  the man’s voice drawled in some tone dark and low,  almost like a groan pulled from the depths of his chest.  it had been an agonizing long few days and he was finally feeling the desperation of restlessness,  and was quite frankly beginning to lose what sanity he had left—although,  not completely.  he had some sense.  so when he saw the man up close and stared intently into his face for a long few seconds,  he grunted in anger and shook his head,  *  never mind.  

 //  blurryface's appearance in this au:
            he looks nearly identical to clancy.
            the main difference is that blurryface has red eyes/irises, and his neck and hands are coated in an ashen substance.

 //   the ritual took the "bad" qualities of clancy and copied them. then they were put them into a new form.
            blurryface is a literal incarnation of clancy's insecurities.
            
            blurryface is rather strong in this au, because clancy has a lot of mental health things going on, and insecurities, and blurry is linked to that.
            
            spookyjim, another character, was also created in the same way as blurry was and is the torchbearer's doppelganger. spookyjim isn't as strong as blurryface in this au, because the person who he is modelled after is named the torchbearer and he is doing better mentally than clancy is. torchbearer is further along his recovery and mental health journey, so spookyjim is subdued in a way.
