Guys I need some help ;-; I’m trying to find a book
So there’s this great young adult book I got from the library’s about a year ago. In it, the main character’s dad lives in a rehab center, and here mom runs away one day, leaving her to take care of her little sister alone. She also has a crush on her best friends brother (who has a girlfriend), and I think her best friend is named Edith? It’s something that starts with an E...also her sister is a prodigy. She works at a Mexican restaurant to pay the bills, and one day she blows work to hang out with her best friends brother. He friend finds out and they have a fight, and also she gets fired. Then a bunch of stuff happens (this is soooo descriptive, lmao) and they end up meeting up at a river at midnight to make up. They get drunk and smoke, and the friend slips and falls in the river and hits her head. She saves her friends life, but she ends up in a coma. The book ends with something like this:
“You have to come to the hospital now!”
“Why?”
“She blinked...Edith [the friend] blinked!”
I know it sounds cheesy af but it was super good. The author has a very long last name, and the cover is yellow/pink/purple watercolor. Like a sunset, sorta. It was SO GOOD. but I don’t remember what it was called. Do any of y’all know which one I’m talking about? I tried googling, but it’s not helping :( help would be appreciated <3 thanks y’all
