time for another rant.

          	this has happened to me twice now - i am reading a book that is designated as being "Complete" and, then, BAM!!!!!! right in the middle of the story - when it is really getting good - the author writes an Author's Note saying that they are abandoning the book and it will never, ever be finished.

          	the first time it happened to me was a year or so ago. it was a book by (i'm sorry i can't remember the name of the book) by AmeliaTerese. the other just happened to me: the book is "It Just...Happened" by leaa4500.

          	i understand that there may come a point in time for whatever reason a person feels they can no longer go on with the story - they have either lost interest in it; have horrible writer's block; have lost the desire to write. whatever.

          	what i don't understand is why do they mark it as being a completed story or, for that matter, do they even still leave it up on the site. it is so not fair to the people who are reading the book expecting to have a completed story to read and are left completely dissatisfied.

          	can anyone logically explain the reason for doing this to me?

@sugainmytee what you say does make a kind of sense. i can see how the author would see it as being finished in their mind. but i also think it is still unfair to let any potential reader think the story is truly finished when it is not. either it should be taken down or some kind of explanation should be posted before people begin to read the book.

@enzorence
          I am aware of countries that punish people in those horrific ways, it absolutely breaks my heart and soul knowing you could die for being born a little differently, so sad and devastating to read and know about someone losing their life for being homosexual. My dream and wish is for everyone is allowed to be themselves, love who their heart desires, be free and live happily.❤️❤️

@Bhangoo thank you, my sweet lady. I ran across that video by accident a few weeks ago after watching a gay Icelandic film called "Eleven Men Out". At one point, in a nite club, that song came on and I couldn't remember who sang it, so I googled it. What I posted was one of the results I got, so I went to YouTube to watch it and became both fascinated and hooked on it. The sad thing is that after seeing some of the countries represented and especially because the boys in the Syrian spot had their faces hidden, I did a little research. Did you know that in 66 countries, homosexuality is against the law and in several, it is punishable by death. In January of 2024, in Yemen, 7 young men were executed - 5 by being stoned to death and 2 by crucifixion. I cried when I read that and it is partly why I decided to post that video. Acceptance MUST be achieved.
