There was a protest at my school about gun violence and I ofc joined in it b/c I have lost someone to gun violence. But of course those "skater/popular" kids instead walked w/ us at first and then ran away and skipped to west field like smh. Wtf was the point of u saying u were going to "join" the protest if all u were gonna do was go and run away w/ ur friends and get high? No I can't control or care that u are doing those things but using the protest as an excuse to skip 3 classes is not okay. Thousands of people have died b/c of gun violence, you leaving and using their death as an excuse to go get high and miss class is not okay and never will be.

@Nushu13 Right and I agree w/ u on the parenting. All these parents r letting everything slide or just aren't trying to but attention or check on them yk? I just got pissed b/c I knew some of the people that went to westwood but didn't want to seem like an overreacting person but now I wish I did talk to them abt it. But I just hope that one day they will know what they decided to do was wrong and actually try to help/join w/ a topic similar or exactly like this one. I think it is the harmful affects and addiction/craving of the drugs that make them not take these things serious in a real life way but online will post (sometimes)

I am so sorry that happened and nothing can justify those actions when you’re right—there’s a huge difference in gun violence and comparable to drugs in general, I hope you’re feeling a lot better though and I do hope the majority of this protest went alright other than kids shamelessly and selfishly choosing something they want to show off to than the true safeties of themselves and others

Omg… Please be safe, I’m cheering you on in this one! I have to 100% agree to you on this one and wow- I’m shocked on how different it is now, it’s really getting crazier and we’re truly losing our generation… I blame the parents and the kids fault for 1) having this type of “freedom” here in America causes this parenting mindset to be lazy and not guild their child properly and to even discipline them… 2) the students should LEGIT distinguish the line between what’s truly right or wrong when they are CURRENTLY learning about the harmful affects of being high and using drugs (we literally discussed this last year in ELA class)
