          I am not good enough of an artist to portray actual scenes in my books lol, but this is close enough.

          Stories 26 and 27 from Birth have been posted. Story 27 could have been named after every shonen manga ever where the protagonist levels up, aka Pinotta: Rising. But I chose to stick with my themes hahah.
          
          I was unwell for most of April, so I’m still kind of coming back to routines in fits and spurts. I got really into c-dramas during my downtime, which was a nice change of pace since I can basically never watch shows during the work week. And c-dramas are even longer than k-dramas. Watch there be another type of drama out there that’s even longer than those…I hope I don’t find them lol.
          
          This year, I’m going to do a bean-off in my garden. Basically, just plant as many types of beans as I can and see which one does the best. Place your bets now, competition’s gonna be wild XP.
          
          I will stop rambling. I hope everyone has a good May. Go outside, take lots of walks, and say hello to all the trees <3<3

          Wouldn’t you know it, Birth, Anna, and The Yellow Dragon updated!
          
          Tomorrow, it’ll be my birthday. I am finally outside of the Cursed year. It takes me more than a second now to remember how old I’m turning. I have to do math, lol. It’s the current year, plus two XPXPXP. 
          
          Who’s ready for some badass womanly warrior-ing? Anna’s Story has now become bingeable. It’s just a small dose of pain and torment, no biggie.
          
          Who’s ready to meet the yellow dragon/megamind?? Check The Yellow Dragon. Arc 1 has now been completed, check check. 
          
          And Birth…. This month’s chapters are a turning point. If ever there was a turning point, this would be it. Time to witness the birth of a new era *wink wonk.*
          
          Well, anyway, please check out Birth’s art chapter once you’re done with Story 24. Who’s up for seeing Varti and Bran and Arley in full color? Also, if you like cats, there’s one of Ruka and Biscuit in the chapter now, too.
          
          I am going through one of those phases where I am disgusted by how much I post and even making these announcements makes me feel like an imposter. But I write a lot, so…where else do I put everything?? How can I be an imposter if I literally say what is happening? Brain, make it make sense ughhh.
          
          Has anybody else been getting rained on like no one’s business? The kids are off school right now, and part of me laughs gleefully that their entire week has been cold and rainy XP. Hopefully, my vacation week will go much smoother. But then again, that’s how you summon karmic justice so…

          Cece, Disrespectfully is the book for you!
          
          I found Cece’s story to be relatable in so many aspects, but there’s something about cheering on a young’un (a yewt, as the scientific term) that just makes you feel so hopeful. I’ve worked a lot with kids, and I feel those empathy muscles building up every day. I think Cece’s story will definitely help that along.
          
          The prose is gorgeous and the characters are simply legendary.

          It has so much heart and just wrenching depictions of grief. I cannot explain how many times I teared up or just stared at the emotions on the page. But I laughed, too. These are the types of characters that have become iconic.
          
          I also loved the realistic aspects of being queer in a major sport—the optimistic as well as cold reality.

Hello, there are three new images in Failure’s Artwork chapter, including a gorgeous profile of Mer and two artsy things I threw together (so expect it to look bad).
          
          Act IV is making pretty great progress. When I started it, I remember being surprised because I thought I needed a longer break after finishing Act III. But I started it almost right away. It’s really wonderful to write some happy moments for this world haahha. And necessary.
          
          I think I have a bit more focus on Birth right now because it’s so close to the end. Pretty soon, though, it’ll be Failure’s turn.
          
          Going into Act IV, I’m excited to share its cover image. I’m also preparing a very interesting character directory….you won’t want to miss it XP.
          
          July will mark three years of writing this novel. If life permits, I expect to finish writing it during that month. I know a lot more about my writing process now, and one thing I’ve learned from Salvation and Failure is that I prefer to finish writing a story within two years or I start to think it’s utter garbage and needs to be hidden from the world.
          
          So. The antithesis of being an overwriter. Alas, irony is often cruel.

          Today, Birth, Anna, and The Yellow Dragon updated.
          
          We finally get to meet the other two princesses in Anna’s Story, and The Yellow Dragon’s first arc is almost complete :’>> You might be surprised to find that the egg…which is yellow…will crack open to reveal…a yellow dragon ; }
          
          So let’s talk about Birth. 
          
          All of the chapters this month are one story, spread into five parts. This book doesn’t follow a typical rising action/climax/falling action sequence because there are multiple parts that might be considered the “climax.” This is one of them.
          
          I had something of a spiritual experience while writing this part. I’m not telling you that so that if you don’t like it, you keep it to yourself XDXD. If you don’t like it, that’s okay haha. I just had very different expectations going into this, and when I came out on the other side, I was kind of in awe. Iago told me what to do, and I listened.
          
          Now, these last chapters I’m writing are taking quite a lot out of me, and they’re all longer than I want. This is to be expected lol. I’m working on the last four !! !! Four more !! Wish me luck haha endings are hardddd.
          
          I don’t think y’all can predict where this is going, and tbh, I don’t think I can, either, even though I’ve known the ending since the beginning! But who knows?!? I’ve already broken out the epic Christmas music playlist! Who can guess what will happen next?!?
