Hello, there are three new images in Failure’s Artwork chapter, including a gorgeous profile of Mer and two artsy things I threw together (so expect it to look bad).
          
          Act IV is making pretty great progress. When I started it, I remember being surprised because I thought I needed a longer break after finishing Act III. But I started it almost right away. It’s really wonderful to write some happy moments for this world haahha. And necessary.
          
          I think I have a bit more focus on Birth right now because it’s so close to the end. Pretty soon, though, it’ll be Failure’s turn.
          
          Going into Act IV, I’m excited to share its cover image. I’m also preparing a very interesting character directory….you won’t want to miss it XP.
          
          July will mark three years of writing this novel. If life permits, I expect to finish writing it during that month. I know a lot more about my writing process now, and one thing I’ve learned from Salvation and Failure is that I prefer to finish writing a story within two years or I start to think it’s utter garbage and needs to be hidden from the world.
          
          So. The antithesis of being an overwriter. Alas, irony is often cruel.

          Today, Birth, Anna, and The Yellow Dragon updated.
          
          We finally get to meet the other two princesses in Anna’s Story, and The Yellow Dragon’s first arc is almost complete :’>> You might be surprised to find that the egg…which is yellow…will crack open to reveal…a yellow dragon ; }
          
          So let’s talk about Birth. 
          
          All of the chapters this month are one story, spread into five parts. This book doesn’t follow a typical rising action/climax/falling action sequence because there are multiple parts that might be considered the “climax.” This is one of them.
          
          I had something of a spiritual experience while writing this part. I’m not telling you that so that if you don’t like it, you keep it to yourself XDXD. If you don’t like it, that’s okay haha. I just had very different expectations going into this, and when I came out on the other side, I was kind of in awe. Iago told me what to do, and I listened.
          
          Now, these last chapters I’m writing are taking quite a lot out of me, and they’re all longer than I want. This is to be expected lol. I’m working on the last four !! !! Four more !! Wish me luck haha endings are hardddd.
          
          I don’t think y’all can predict where this is going, and tbh, I don’t think I can, either, even though I’ve known the ending since the beginning! But who knows?!? I’ve already broken out the epic Christmas music playlist! Who can guess what will happen next?!?
          

A few housekeeping updates:
          
          - In Failure, I moved the Brat/Rosetta extras to the end of each corresponding Act. They don't happen chronologically right after the events in the chapters, but they were written with the purpose of sharing them once each Act finished. So, they moved. I feel like they belong there, and the only reason I didn't do it that way at first was years of being told that extras shouldn't be near the rest of the story. To each their own.
          
          - In Birth, I added supplementary chapters on top of the Glossary, including What's in a Name? at the end and a very poorly drawn Map at the beginning. There is also an artwork chapter that will occasionally be added to. Once the story is complete, I have one more chapter to add, and that is a Timeline. It is obviously pretty spoilery, so it's gonna have to wait.
          
          - Lastly, my fantasy short story anthology Tales: Fantasy has been added to the lighter fantasy (dragon) genre under my bio in anticipation for the two stories I'm working on for it this year. Both of them are light fantasy, totally unlike the two stories in it now. These won't post for a while (I know, I know, I write too much), but if anyone happens to look at my bio and be like "um, those stories are not light at all" well, that's why XP. 
          
          I ended up getting sick this week, so my plans have derailed a little bit. This month has had multiple real world things happen that have made it impossible to complete goals of any kind, so we're just gonna take it as a loss and move on XP. 
          
          We'll see if YouTube will allow me to post the rest of my audio vids. Even that is not working well right now. Ahhh life, *shakes fist*.

          	Good luck to those participating in ONC. I am not joining you this year for reasons x, y, and z. But I’m cheering you all on! 
          
          	I didn’t do much character art last year and definitely used more of Canva than I ever have before. I’m looking forward to diving back into it, since it’s an important part of my creation process. Stay tuned for any art chapters that suddenly become real. Yes, I like to make mood collages as well as banners as well as character art XDXD. No, I don’t actually have time to do any of these things, but here we are anyway.
          
          	Today, Birth, Anna’s Story, and The Yellow Dragon were updated. I even added Rosetta’s third vignette to Failure. 
          
          	Birth is…about to get real. Really real. All of next month’s chapters are actually one story, split into five pieces….You’ve now been warned. This month is the lead up. Hope you’re ready.
          	
          	I’m working on Act IV of Failure right now, but before I can even think of when to start posting, I had to add Rosetta’s third story. This one centers on Niall, everyone’s favorite character….Wait, he’s no one’s favorite character? Hahahah too late!
          
          	In other news, I finally jumped on board the Dungeon Crawler Carl train. I adored the new webtoon so much, I started reading the books. I keep smiling while reading…in public! Princess Donut and Carl feel so healing to me. I give them a lot of credit for slowly forcing my head above the water over the past two months. <3<3<3
          

Ok, so, stupid question. How do you do the assignments? I've done all the commenting and reading, but where should I post it, and how should I format it? Tbh, I don't know how to use this very well, so if there is a better way to reach someone, please let me know. Thank you for your help

New cover alert for Lion. I finally got around to drawing that boy XP. As always, I destroy all evidence of errors by filtering bright colors over top of it lol.

          	2025 was a year of great experimentation with my writing. I’ll list some of it here:
          
          First attempt at ONC
          Writing a novel in short stories
          Writing a story told in letters
          Working on fluff
          Creating my own audio for my chapters
          
          	In order to move forward, I feel I must first share these projects. I posted the intro pages to Anna’s Story as well as The Yellow Dragon last week. These two simply could not be more opposite in tone lol.
          
          	They are both from my story graveyard, reanimated like Lion and Birth. Guess I’m still in the era for fitting old projects with new forms. (Btw, Birth updated for the month today, too.)
          
          	Anna’s Story is very emotional for me. I honestly believe it has some of my greatest work. I feel myself growing closer to the writer I want to be when I reread it.
          
          	The Yellow Dragon has only just begun, but I adore working on it. I’m really focusing on word choice and setting and keeping it short. Maybe I can put a different colored baby dragon in every project I work on…? We’re at white and yellow, what color should I throw into the Lion universe? Maybe a purple snakey? :P
          
          	I want 2026 to be a year of Short Stories, to usher in the Year of the Fire Horse (viva la revolution, baby!) But I plan to work on finishing Failure and writing Lion’s sequel as well. There’s even a (gasp) Salvation Epilogue I am currently ruining. No worries.
          
          	Not sure if I can finish Failure. Ideally, yes. Realistically….??? I’m both excited and scared of the last two Acts. Failure has reached the over 2-year-mark that makes my impulsiveness to remove it from Wattpad a daily battle. Hopefully, I can fight those impulses and finish it first. 
          
          	Friendship arc, here we come!

          I'm wondering if being on watt makes me more mentally unstable than it needs to be. Something about going through the motions of posting and promo-ing and all the other -ings have me in a constant loop of wondering what's right and what am I even doing.
          
          Originally, I'd said 2025 would be my last year on watt. Maybe it'll happen in 2026, who knows? I've spent hours the past couple of weeks "readying" everything I wanna share in 2026, but...anyway, happy holidays <3<3 and have a great new year

          I’m rereading and performing minor edits, so expect it to sit for a while.
