My name is TL Kao, and I write LGBT fiction inspired by both imagination and pieces of my own life experiences.

When I discovered the Boys' Love genre, I fell in love with the stories-not simply because they were queer stories, but because they were stories about love itself. Falling in love. Fighting for love. Choosing love, even when the world makes it difficult.

But as much as I adored these stories, I rarely saw characters like me. I rarely saw trans characters-trans women, trans men, or stories that explored the trans experience with honesty, hope, and heart. So I decided to write the stories I wished existed.

Because we fall in love too.
We deserve happy endings too.
We deserve stories filled with hope, passion, heartbreak, healing, and joy.

Through my novels, I hope to share the kinds of stories that are still too often left untold. Writing them brings me immense joy, and I can only hope readers will find that same joy, comfort, and connection within these pages.
