@Yohanseyebrowmole exactly!!!! like your idea alone is great why ruin it with letting AI write it for you!! i was reading this book i can’t remember the name and the author was like “oh AI helped me with shortening the summaries of what had happened in canon and i think im still gonna be doing this!” like it’s genuinely becoming a problem.
            
            
            i know im not “allowed” to speak up because i dont write fanfics but id rather read a million errors than read “how does this sound” when they forget to delete it after letting AI do all the work.

@etherealjoyy its so bad because some of the fics genuinely sound good! Cause how can they come up with such great ideas and then make chatgpt write it and post it T-T like?!?!?!? 

@Yohanseyebrowmole i haven’t read fics from the maze runner but the i’ve seen are from Stars wars (i’ve been binge reading them anakin fics!) and there’s so many authors that state “OH! i also used ChatGPT for this whole fanfic!!” like !?!!? i click out of the fic quickly!!
