@euoniabby_ It keeps the cycle going of every Avatar having to deal with the consequences of their previous in carnation's actions but inadvertantly creating a problem for their successor to fix, maintaining a cycle of restoration and destruction. Seriously, read the books, it's a common through thread. I'm pretty sure Film Theory made a video about it a while back.
