The book flick is a masterpiece. I have never been one to reread stories yet your always find a way to bring me back. The story is fresh compared to others when tackling on the concept of 1 sister in a family of brothers, yet the mc don’t really care for them as such. Flick relationship with Jackson is honestly heart filling. They’ve been together through thick and thin and i admit i cried at some scenes. They act mature but their still kids so seeing them smoke, skip school etc. At first I thought of them as these sort of baddass kids but honestly they don’t deserve that.
When Jackson betrayed flick I was confused on how to feel. One one hand you broke the promise of always being their for looking out for each other yet in a way he does. In a horrible, sad gut retching way, he convinced her brothers to take her away. Away from their toxic households, the hunger and—him. That fact is what hurts the most. Flick in her own words ‘who’s going to watch you for you?’ Because now she worried with her gone, how will he do? Your writing is immaculante, terribly so to the point it’s as if it’s I’m right there two. My favorite stories aren’t aventure, romance, horror no it’s a story with beautiful, unweilding friendship. And that’s what your story showed me.
Next up flick. Unlike others stories I read where the mc forgives them after the second day, flick—she unrelents till the end, only thing on her mind wa did she’ll ever see Jackson again. Her personality is bold and well I guess it’s thanks to having to mature faster then others. Her casualness of of walking around at night is concerning however me as well as her seem the night a beautiful place.
Honestly I’m ashamed of not being able to give a more heartfelt comment(it’s my first ever one after almost two years on this app) .
However know that if you ever do decide to make a sequel to this book i swear to be one of its first readers.
