          	  ⠀⠀⠀After banishment, a traveling warlock made an offer Kane couldn’t refuse. He knew better than to turn to alternative methods to heal his eye; the Gods took it from him for a reason. But the promise of reintegration into his kingdom’s high society was too great. The warlock reopens his scar to smother it in a tainted ointment, leading theurgical infection into his bloodstream, and eventually, inside his brain. He’s stronger now, faster. But it’s harder to focus on the benefits when there’s voices where they shouldn’t be.

He had become one of the best warriors of his generation, and when the monarchs deemed him ready, he was set out to kill a legendary monster that has corrupted the forest on their borders since it was founded. He returned lacking victory, his fleet, and his left eye. Banishment was his punishment.
