BREAKOUT ROOMS #4) • 12.08.20
"Hey, if there's anyone who could cook up a virus to start off this decade, it's those mothertruckers downstairs."
"Well, let's hope those mothertruckers down there are wearing masks."
"If not, I'll eat their souls."
"That's not very social distancing of you."
"I'm the king of the underworld, baby. It's my solemn duty."
Yeah, so, I'm back with another one. Didn't expect this to happen? Me neither. Honestly, back in 2017, after I finished Snow Boots, I was convinced that I was done with this series forever. Honestly, if not for this pandemic, I don't think this would've happened, but this whole year has been so insane and extraordinary that I wanted to document it, somehow. I guess this is the result.
I tend to do things on impulse, especially with posting new stories and then ditching them once I lose motivation. The impulse to post a random new story usually lasts 3-4 days for me. I've been planning this one for about three weeks and I still want to write it, so I guess I'm in it for the long haul.
Another thing. Go easy on me with this one, please. I know a lot of you guys are recent readers of mine, but keep in mind that I haven't written dialogue stories in three years. Not since 2017. I'm out of practice. I'm still warming up to the dialogue thing again, and my writing style and sense of humour have changed a lot.
P.S. If you're wondering why I chose today to post this, it's because today is the 5-year anniversary of Waffle Cones. I posted Waffle Cones on this exact day five years ago: August 12th, 2015. Happy anniversary!
I hope you enjoy this new adventure, and that it's equally fulfilling as the previous three. If you're comfortable doing so, please consider voting, commenting, and adding this story to your reading lists. It's hard for me to gauge who's reading my stories unless you actually interact with me. It motivates me to keep going. It helps so much, you guys.
